D-Day 9: Sc/een.e from a Balcony 1-29-25 7:30am

Continuing the countdown to full retirement for my career as a psychotherapist. 3 more days!

I was out for a walk again this morning; nice, cool, clear atmosphere, 35 degrees.

What else? Yesterday, went northwest to Bellevue to scope out the potential volunteer spot, New Horizons (blog post yesterday).

Also, stopped in at H&R Block to make contact to have my 2024 taxes filed.

Today, I plan to continue to update this blog, fill out documents for the new Concierge position, prepare for tax return,  and see where my unplanned rambling leads.

Always seems to be something thing on the 'to do' list, when all I want to do is to simply 'be'.

  1. Maybe you should try to "simply be" and take a day to do that? One of the things that I have enjoyed most about retirement is the ability to do whatever I want, whenever I want. I like to take long walks, or hike in the (very low) mountains near our house. I like to garden, read, nap, cook, etc. I'm not overly fond of cleaning and laundry, but acknowledge those things need to be done, too. It's nice to be able to put those chores off for a couple of hours, or until tomorrow if I choose. I also do volunteer work, but I get to choose when I volunteer. It's all about choice and control. I hope you enjoy your retirement as much as I have. Thank you for continuing to post pictures from your balcony. It's fun to see everything becoming just a smidge lighter week by week. Hugs.

    1. Wise words to consider most definitely! Time to activate the KISS principle: Keep It Simple Silly. πŸ˜‰πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ‘πŸ½πŸ™πŸ½
